Not necessarily in order, these are some of the things I love about living here.
1. Summertime. I love the insanely long days, the warm, but mild weather, the fresh berries, and the ice cream that is available everywhere.
2. How easy it is to recycle.
3. The Christians are genuine. People don't go to church just because it is part of the culture.
4. The ice cream (see #1).
5. Nobody asks if I need a ride when I am just out for a walk (that happened to me in Illinois more than once).
6. Lingonberries, Swedish strawberries, Swedish blueberries
7. Midsommar -- Dancing around the Midsommar pole, dinner with friends, a picnic lunch, and little girls with flower wreaths on their heads.
8. Lucia Day -- The kids' Lucia programs, Lussebullar, etc.
9. Learning to make Swedish food. It is fun to add some new recipes to our lives. Plus, I don't have to worry about not being able to find the right ingredients like I do with new recipes from the US.
10. Fika
