Ramona Quimby
K finished her first Ramona book yesterday. Since we were home for two days due to sickness (hers and mine), I bought her a book to read on my Kindle. These are more on her level than the Magic Tree House books she has been breezing through, and I remember loving the stories as a girl. She enjoys them as much as I do, and she is more than half-way through her second one. When I was lying in bed resting, she was lying next to me, reading. Even though we weren't talking, I felt like we were bonding on some level. It was fun to just hang out with her. The only problem is that I can't read my books when she is using my Kindle. Oh, the sacrifices we mothers make. :)

A Beautiful Bond
The other night, I asked K to read to H while I brushed AJ's teeth. When I came to my room, here is what I saw. Sorry about the lighting. I was trying to take a picture before they noticed I was there. It was so sweet to see the two of them snuggled up with a book together. The love of siblings displayed in such a manner is a beautiful sight to behold. Friday, February 19, 2010
Bedtime Stories

One of our nightly routines includes bedtime stories for the kids. I love to see Timothy snuggling up with the kids, reading to them. I think it is one of the most wonderful sites to behold. Here, Timothy is reading to them out of one of their favorites -- What Do People Do All Day? They are all obviously enjoying themselves immensely.
