Kristen's New Bike

We had talked about getting K a new bike when AJ grew into her old one. Well, when I went outside one day last week and AJ was riding her bike up and down the driveway, I decided that it was that time. Of course, she chose one that had a seat for her baby dolls.

Library Floor

The other day when I went in the kids' room to turn off the lights for the night, I discovered that the kids had gotten out several books and lined them up on the floor for their "library." It made me wonder how much floor space we would have left if we put all our kids books (we have a ton) on the floor. I also thought that children's books would make a great playroom wallpaper. There is so much color and the pictures provide areas of interest. It is like a quilt of paper.
This is what their library looked like.

Bouncing Baby Boy

When Timothy and I tried to find a basic rocking chair here in Sweden, we were unable to find one. Some friends of ours here suggested a possible place to go to buy one, but we never made it out there. This hasn't been a big problem, though, because Hunter has a preference for bouncing rather than rocking. My niece, Erika, discovered that when she holds him and bounces (gently) on my big exercise ball, he calms down almost every time. We joked that when she has kids, she will have to put an exercise ball on her baby registry. We do have an arm chair that rocks, but Hunter likes to bounce.

Crabs and Water

Lately, AJ has been collecting some of the rocks (large gravel) from our yard and putting them in a plastic cup. He then brings them inside and puts water in the cup. He calls these his "crabs." I really have no idea where he got that. Kristen, who is reading over my shoulder as I write this, has just informed me that he got that idea from her. Now, I don't know where she got the idea. Sometimes he just brings one "crab" inside, and sometimes he has almost a whole cup full of rocks. I sometimes dump out some of the water so we don't have a full cup of water sitting around, waiting to be spilled. He insists that he put more water in every time I dump some out, though. I think it is pretty funny that he is adamant about how much water his "crabs" need and how they should be taken care of.
