First Snow

Yesterday, we woke up to our first snow of the season. Well, it was actually, the second time it snowed, but it was the first time it stuck around. We brought the kids' snowsuits home from school, and they dove in, so to speak.

A Beautiful Bond

The other night, I asked K to read to H while I brushed AJ's teeth. When I came to my room, here is what I saw. Sorry about the lighting. I was trying to take a picture before they noticed I was there. It was so sweet to see the two of them snuggled up with a book together. The love of siblings displayed in such a manner is a beautiful sight to behold.

Snack Time

I was trying to clean up another area, and I come back to find H sitting in a drawer, helping himself to pretzels, and thoroughly enjoying himself.

I'm All Shook Up

H recently started nodding his head for yes or shaking his head for no in response to questions I ask him. I can see in his face that he is so proud of himself for communicating in this fashion, and it is nice that he shakes his head instead of whining in frustration when he doesn't want something. I have been relying on his signing "please" if he does want something, and now I have to watch myself to make sure I still make him keep his good manners. It is so easy to just accept the nod and forget the "please."
It is a fun new stage, especially since he is not really into saying many words. Now I just need to see if I can get it on video some time. I am not sure how long it will last.
